Nathaniel Clyne came up through the ranks of the Crystal Palace Academy after joining from Tottenham Hotspur at the age of 14.
His debut as an Academy graduate came in a 3-0 triumph over Barnsley in October 2008 and he signed his first professional contract a few days later after a standout performance.
He scored his first goal for the club in December 2009 against Reading. He was a key component of the side which stayed up despite going into administration in 2009/10, making 28 appearances in all competitions.
He played a major part in the 2010/11 season - playing every single minute of every single game. Having made 137 appearances in total for the Eagles between 2008-2012, Clyne joined Southampton in the summer of 2012 before moving to Liverpool in July 2015. A loan to AFC Bournemouth followed in 2019.
The former Player of the Season (2010/11) spent part of summer 2020 training with the first-team squad and played 45 minutes for the Under-23s before his return to south London was confirmed.
After returning in 2021, he signed a one-year contract extension in June 2023 to keep him in SE25 until the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
Internationally, Clyne made 14 appearances for England, earning his first call-up under Roy Hodgson.
