Stepping in for the injured Cardo Siddik, he quickly formed a strong defensive partnership with Dan Quick, starting 10 of the final 12 games of the 2020/21 season and contributing to three clean sheets.
Developing under the tutorlage of former central defenders Paddy McCarthy and Darren Powell, Sheridan went from strength to strength in the 2021/22 campaign.
He regularly captained Rob Quinn's Under-18s side in the 21/22 season, making 21 appearances and keeping eight clean sheets.
Sheridan didn't manage to make an appearance in 2022/23 due to injury.
The defender did recover from a lengthy spell on the sidelines to feature in the Under-21s side which went on tour to Salt Lake City in the pre-season of 2023/24.
He was a regular starter for the U21s in 23/24, before his season was abruptly curtailed with a fibula fracture when he landed awkwardly against Leicester City in February 2024.
Sheridan made 19 appearances in total for the U21s in 23/24 before the injury.
He managed to overcome his injury and return to action against the first-team of Stevenage in the opening game of the 2024/25 season for the U21s, in the EFL Trophy.
