Palace's U18 side maintained their unbeaten start to the season as goals from Courtney Watson and Kyle Lynch earned them a 2-1 victory away at QPR.
The young Eagles are unbeaten in eight games and took an early lead through Watson, who on his first start of the season, found himself with some time and curled a fine effort over the head of Myles Bowman on four minutes.
QPR rallied with a spell of possession but Palace defended well keeping their shape, before Francis Baptiste put Brandon Oddy in on goal, but he was denied by a perfectly timed challenge.
Oddy again had a chance to double the lead after Baptiste played him in down the right but his shot was agonisingly wide of the post.
Ryan Hanson threw himself in the way of a shot from the edge of the area on the stroke of half-time to keep the score at 1-0, and Palace deservedly led at the break.
Midway through the second half Matt Funnell was called upon to keep out the hosts as a long ball forward fell to the striker but his shot was well saved by the goalkeeper.
Paddy McCarthy's side impressed with their disciplined shape and threatened going forward.
They got their reward through Lynch, who put his side 2-0 ahead after 75 minutes. A corner wasn't cleared properly and after a scramble in the area it fell to the centre-back who turned the ball home.
Palace were not content to sit on their lead and Oddy turned his marker superbly to unleash a powerful drive at goal but Bowman produced a stunning save to deny the Eagles' forward.
With just four minutes remaining the hosts pulled a goal back after getting behind the defence and lifting the ball over Funnell.
But the Eagles held on to record their fourth consecutive victory as they remain unbeaten at the top of the league.
