After admittedly being second best for much of the first-half – kept level only by a string of fine saves by goalkeeper Henderson – Palace improved greatly in the second and had chances of their own to come out with three points.
In the end, Henderson was vital to securing a point – and a fifth consecutive game unbeaten for Palace in all competitions – making seven spectacular saves to keep his former club at bay.
Indeed, in doing so, according to Opta: "he became the first goalkeeper to make seven or more saves and keep a clean sheet against Manchester United in a Premier League game since Nick Pope in January 2020.
"Based on the quality of the shots he faced, he prevented 1.65 goals, with his seven saves also being the joint most he has ever made in a Premier League game."
As a result of those heroics, he won 87.7% of supporters votes – the overwhelming majority – to be named your Player of the Match.
