Little over 14 after hours after the full-time whistle of Palace's 1-0 win over Burnley at Turf Moor, Manager Oliver Glasner was back in front of the press to discuss the Eagles' next Premier League away day – against Fulham at Craven Cottage this Sunday.
Topics discussed included the quick turnaround between the two matches; Fulham's incredible match against Manchester City in midweek; the Premier League's fifth-place position after last night; and reflections from Turf Moor.

Of course we watched Fulham against City at the hotel at Burnley, and yeah, it will be an interesting game. They’re a good team, but we will start with the preparation straight after the press conference.
My experience is you never can plan too far in advance because you never know what what's happening in the game.
Not on the touchline [do I enjoy games] when it's like this, but I enjoyed it watching it on TV!
It's funny. When City were 5-1 up, we were discussing and usually the game is over because you can't play 5-5 against City, but it was very close at the end. I think [Josko] Gvardiol had a goal line clearance right at the end. This would have been the 5-5.
It just shows how good and how competitive the Premier League is. Every team can win a game, every team can score. There’s just so much quality in every single team, so many great managers here in the Premier League, and that makes it so challenging and so interesting.
Both teams were very efficient. I think three goals with second phases from corners, and also Fulham played really well at Tottenham the game before, so they are in a good shape.
They struggled a little bit at the beginning, but now they have a good team and attacking team. We know them and we played them – it is the same team as last year. They didn't sell any starter and brought the new players in with dribbling skills with pace like [Samuel] Chukwueze, like Kevin, like [Josh King], doing really well and of course having experienced players like [Raul] Jiménez, like [Emile] Smith Rowe, like [Harry] Wilson in their attack, like [Alex] Iwobi and of course Sander Berge and [Saša] Lukić in midfield, and we know Joa [Andersen] and [Calvin] Bassey.
They have a good mix between very experienced Premier League players, and young, quick players who want to show up. I’m looking forward to this game.
May is early enough [to look at the table]!
At the moment it's really game by game, and preparing the team and looking who's available. There are so many games to play, and no time to think about the end of May.
We have great games ahead, not just in the Premier League but also in the Conference League – we have two important games – and we’re looking forward to the quarter-final at the Emirates [against Arsenal] in the EFL Cup.
Many great games to play, and then it's really important to stay focused now on the next game, and don't waste your time about end of May 2026.
It’s the players, it’s the team and it's Crystal Palace, we're all sitting in the same boat and want to be successful and I also think it's not just a momentum. I was shown a table of the whole calendar year, and I think even there we are sixth or somewhere around this area.
In the last year, we had a tough start into the season, but the last 30 games we were sixth as well, so it's now really for months that we are doing really well. We know our foundation and when you look at our goal difference, it's clear our foundation is our defensive work, our shape and our structure, our mentality.
Yes, we know that especially right at the moment, for us it feels not too easy to score many goals, but therefore it's more important to keep clean sheets like we did yesterday. It also shows that we're always able to score from different situations, and I think that's the foundation of our success.

Sometimes I like it and sometimes I don't like it! Of course we like to play, but yes, of course if you go to bed at 3.30, and arrive here at 9 in the morning [like today], then you think ‘I'm a little bit tired’!
That's part of every job, so again, I feel we have a very privileged job and that's why we have to accept it. Yes, not every day it’s sunny – we can see today – but it's still a great life, it's a great period.
The amount of games is just because we are so successful. If you always why we have these games is because we play European football, because we qualified for the quarter-finals in the EFL Cup, and that's the result of being successful, and that's why it makes it a little bit easier.
The resilience, and dealing with all the circumstances [pleased me]. It was the third game in six days we had the half-time lead by 1-0, and the last two games we lost 2-1 with conceding three set-piece goals.
Even yesterday it was close when Dean [Henderson] had this big save and it was also after a set-play, and you have somewhere in the back of your mind that the last times you had the lead and then you lost the games.
Yesterday we could get the turnaround again and get the game over the goal line and win it, so this will help us increasing our confidence in these situations, because yes we know it looks like at the end of the games we're getting a little bit fatigued physically, mentally, but then staying resilient and get the things done, we're always talking about it.
Of course when you're twice failing, you need this to succeed the next time, and that's what we did yesterday, and that's why this result and this game will help us in the upcoming games.
