By brilliantly saving Omar Marmoush’s penalty Dean Henderson became the first goalkeeper to save a spot-kick in normal time of an FA Cup Final since Petr Cech in the 2010 contest between Chelsea and Portsmouth.

Frank Lampard also missed a penalty in that final, but it was off-target rather than saved by the goalkeeper.

Ebere Eze scored for the third consecutive game at Wembley. The first in this sequence was his maiden international goal for England in March, before he netting in both the FA Cup semi-final and final.

Overall, he now has 39 in total for the Eagles.
