Following today’s announcement from WSL Football, Crystal Palace Women will be competing in the newly named Barclays Women’s Super League 2 (WSL2) from the 2025/26 season.
The current Barclays Women’s Championship will adopt its new name, Barclays WSL2, as part of a broader shift to bring the top levels of the women’s game under a single identity, alongside the Barclays Women’s Super League (WSL).
Both leagues will now sit under the umbrella of Women’s Super League Football (WSL Football) – formerly known as the Women’s Professional Leagues Limited (WPLL).
Further visual and branding changes introduced today, including new league emblems and identity systems, will begin to appear across the game in the coming months, ahead of the 2025/26 season.
A new WSL Football website will also go live this summer.
