The 18-year-old, who has been at the club since the age of nine, was rewarded for his outstanding work in red and blue with a call-up to the Sierra Leone senior side for the very first time.
Mustapha was a part of Amidu Karim’s side as they prepared to face Chad and Zambia in Group G of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers. In their first game against Chad, they drew 0-0, though Mustapha had a moment he will never forget as he made his debut off the bench in the 87th minute.
Against Zambia, Mustapha came on with the score level at 1-1 in the hour-mark for his second appearance. His side went 2-1 down, but with a moment of brilliance in the 73rd minute he notched his first ever international goal.
Mustapha received the ball on the edge of the box and managed to skip past two defenders, holding off another, before rifling in a fierce shot past the ‘keeper.
