Crystal Palace are back in the United States this week, and facing West Ham United in Tampa!

Following a successful tour of Chicago and Detroit in 2023, Palace – collaborating with Elite Promotions Group – are once again connecting with their sizeable American fanbase.

The Eagles have now left Annapolis following a successful stay and a 3-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

We have now travelled to Tampa, Florida, where we will face London rivals West Ham United on Saturday, 3rd August (kick-off 19:00 EDT local time / 00:00 BST Sunday UK time) at the Raymond James Stadium, which seats around 69,000 and is home to NFL outfit Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

With Wolves having defeated West Ham by a scoreline of 3-1 earlier in the week, the inaugural Stateside Cup trophy will be awarded to the best-performing team across the three fixtures.

Palace’s recent Premier League meetings with Wolves and West Ham have produced plenty of goals and entertainment – the Eagles defeated both teams at Selhurst Park earlier this season, 3-2 and 5-2 respectively.

Palace have developed a special relationship with their American fanbase and this continues to grow with the popularity of the game, with the United States due to co-host the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals alongside Canada and Mexico.

On top of six previous pre-season tours Stateside, Palace have attended the last two Premier League Mornings Live! Events in Nashville, Tennessee, and Orlando, Florida, where the club was represented by the American Eagle Foundation’s 34-year old American Bald Eagle ‘Challenger’.

US Men’s National Team player Chris Richards recently scored his first goal for the club, after moving to south London in the summer of 2022, following in the footsteps of Gregg Berhalter, who became the first Palace player to feature at a World Cup finals when he represented the USA in South Korea and Japan in 2002.

Plus, American hit TV show Ted Lasso was filmed at Selhurst Park, which has been seen in televisions across the country as the home ground of the fictional side AFC Richmond.
