Seán Grehan and Franco Umeh were in action representing Republic of Ireland Under-21s in a pair of friendlies in Pinatar, Spain.
Defender Grehan captained the Boys in Green in their first friendly against Scotland, with Umeh also starting. The duo completed 84 and 63 minutes respectively of the 2-0 defeat.
In the next friendly against Hungary, Grehan did not feature, but Umeh played the last 22 minutes of a 3-1 win for Jim Crawford’s side, as they prepare for their upcoming 2027 UEFA European Under-21 Championship Qualifiers in September.
Grehan has recently moved to Bohemian FC on loan, keeping a clean sheet in his most recent game against Waterford, while Umeh has been on the mend after recovering from an injury.
Caleb Kporha earned a place in the England Under-19s squad for the first time, ahead of a UEFA European U19 Championship Qualifying triple-header against Wales, Türkiye and Portugal.
In their first match, against Wales on Wednesday evening, the Palace Academy product was an unused substitute in a 2-0 win. In their second outing, against Türkiye, Kporha made his U19s debut and completed the full 90 minutes as the two teams played out a 0-0 draw.
Several days later, Kporha was an unused substitute as an early goal from Sunderland's Chris Rigg secured a 1-0 win over Portugal at the Deeside Stadium – securing the Young Lions a spot at June’s finals in Romania.
Jesse Derry also enjoyed a successful call-up for England Under-18s for their three friendly games against France, Portugal and Czechia, held in Porto.
The Young Lions kicked proceedings off with a 2-2 draw against Czechia, in which Derry played the first 69 minutes, before featuring for half-an-hour in another 2-2 draw against France.
The Palace man was then the star of the show in England's match against the host nation, scoring a first-half goal after collecting a pass from Harry Amass, cutting inside past a defender and firing home an angled finish – which eventually warranted a 1-0 win.
Left-back Dean Benamar has earned another call-up to England Under-17s, having previously scored on his first start for them last month.
He was among Neil Ryan's squad for the Young Lions' UEFA European U17 Championship Qualifiers against Israel, Slovenia and Northern Ireland.
In their first game, a 2-0 win over Israel at St. George's Park, Benamar featured for the final 15 minutes.
He was then an unused substitute in a 3-2 win over Slovenia on home soil, before starting – and playing the full 90 minutes – of a rampant 5-0 win over Northern Ireland at the same ground.
Ryan’s side can now turn their attention to preparations for the upcoming Finals tournament, which will be hosted in Albania this May.
For the first time this month, Palace had representatives in every England age group from senior down to Under-16s.
