After making history by lifting the U18 Premier League Cup for the very first time, Palace U18s turn their attention back to league action as they travel to face Norwich City on Saturday morning (12:00 BST) at the Avant Training Centre.
It has been a week to remember for the young Eagles. Last time out, they etched their names into club history with a dramatic victory over Manchester United under the lights at Selhurst Park to secure the trophy.
Focus now shifts back to the U18 Premier League South, where Palace sit fifth on 39 points, with at least two games in hand on the sides above them. A demanding schedule – including deep runs in both the FA Youth Cup and Premier League Cup – has tested the squad in recent weeks, but also highlighted their resilience.
Norwich arrive in improved form. The Canaries went six games unbeaten in the league before a 3-0 defeat to West Bromwich Albion, and have since taken four points from their last two outings – drawing 2-2 with Reading and beating Leicester City 3-1. They currently sit 12th as the campaign enters its closing stages.

Crystal Palace Under-21s head into the Premier League 2 play-offs after finishing 10th in the regular season, securing their place in the knockout phase for the third consecutive campaign.
The current format sees the top 16 teams advance to a single-elimination Round of 16, with ties determined by league position – meaning Palace travel to face seventh-placed Liverpool at the Liverpool Academy. The match will be decided on the day, with extra time and penalties if required.
Liverpool’s season has been one of two halves. After winning just one of their opening six matches, they surged into form after the turn of the year, going unbeaten across 11 games in 2026 (W8 D3). That run included emphatic victories such as 7-0 against Arsenal and 5-0 against Wolves, showcasing their attacking quality.
However, their momentum has dipped in recent weeks following defeats to Manchester City and Palace – the latter a 5-1 loss to the young Eagles in their most recent meeting.
